Biography: Prof. Elango Natarajan obtained doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India in 2010. He worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at at Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia in 2013 and carried out research on soft actuators. He has served for engineering colleges/universities for about 25 years in various academic positions. He is currently attached to Faculty of Engineering, UCSI University, Malaysia as an Associate Professor in mechanical and mechatronic engineering. Besides, he is the Deputy Director of Praxis, Industry and Community Engagement. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng.) awarded by Engineering Council UK, Chartered member (CMEngNZ) awarded by Engineering Council NZ and Fellow awarded by Institution of Engineers India. He has published 115+ research articles and his h-index is 22 in Scopus. He has completed many research grant projects including projects supported by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia worth of about RM 1 million. He has edited three Conference proceedings, and two books. He is now editing a book (T&F). He is an academic Editor of J. Advances in Materials Science and Engineering (Wiley). He was the Chairman of IEEE Robotics and Automation Chapter Malaysia.

Biography: Tang Ke, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Southern University of Science and Technology, special Professor of Ministry of Education, “National High-level Talent Special Support Program” young top talent. His main research areas are the general principles and algorithms of artificial intelligence (such as evolutionary computing, reinforcement learning, machine learning, etc.), as well as the cross-research between artificial intelligence and design, finance, logistics and other fields. His research achievements have won the first prize and second prize of the Ministry of Education and the first prize of Natural Science of the Chinese Society of Electronics. He is a Newton Advanced Fellow of the Royal Society and a recipient of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Outstanding Early Career Award. He is also deputy director of Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Brain-like Intelligent Computing and deputy Director of Shenzhen Sfakis Trusted Autonomous System Research Institute.

Biography: Weinan Gao received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University, Brooklyn, NY, USA. He is a Professor with the State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries at Northeastern University, Shenyang, China. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL, USA, an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA, USA, and a Visiting Professor of Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory (MERL), Cambridge, MA, USA. His research interests include reinforcement learning, adaptive dynamic programming (ADP), optimal control, cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC), intelligent transportation systems, sampled-data control systems, and output regulation theory. Prof. Gao is the recipient of the best paper award in IEEE Data Driven Control and Learning Systems (DDCLS) Conference in 2023, IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics (RCAR) in 2018 and the David Goodman Research Award at New York University in 2019. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, Control Engineering Practice, Neurocomputing and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, and a Technical Committee member in IEEE Control Systems Society on Nonlinear Systems and Control, IFAC TC 1.2 Adaptive and Learning Systems, and CAAI Industrial Artificial Intelligence.

Biography:  Ferrante Neri (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Laurea and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2002 and 2007, respectively, and the second Ph.D. degree in scientific computing and optimization and the D.Sc. degree in computational intelligence from the University of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä, Finland, in 2007 and 2010, respectively.,He is a Full Professor of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and the Head of the Nature Inspired Computing and Engineering Research Group, University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. He is also a Jiangsu Distinguished Professor with the School of Software, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, China. His research focuses on metaheuristic optimization with applications in the context of machine learning.(Based on document published on 1 December 2023).
